About Us
We provide a life skill in a fun and safe environment for children of all ages, our teachers are Amateur Swimming Association qualified (ASA) with over 20 years of swimming and teaching experience from a child's first encounter with the water to advanced swimming skills.
Working in partnership with the ASA, the swim school academy is proud to be a member.
We operate an ASA endorsed swimming scheme called "The National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS)". The scheme details progressive steps which can be adopted to take an absolute beginner through to participating in swimming as a lifetime activity.
The NPTS has been developed by the ASA to provide a template for learn to swim schemes. It has been designed to assist qualified teachers whose own experience and training will enhance the implementation of the plan. The NPTS is a comprehensive, integrated, progressive teaching programme based upon sound technical and educational principles and provides a standard reference for those responsible to planning swimming programmes. |
