Developing effective swimming skills including co-ordinated breathing across all strokes plus swimming a distance of 25 meters using a stroke of the swimmers choice; developing the water safety aspect and understanding of preparation for exercise.
- Demonstrate an understanding of preparation for exercise
- Sink, push off on side from the wall, glide, kick and rotate into backstroke
- Sink, push off on side from the wall, glide, kick and rotate into front crawl
- Swim 10 meters with clothes on
- Swim front crawl to include a least six rhythmical breaths
- Swim Breaststroke to include at least six rhythmical breaths
- Swim Butterfly to include at least three rhythmical breaths
- Swim 25 meters, choice of stroke is optional
- Perform a ‘shout & signal’ rescue
- Perform a surface dive
- Exit the water without using steps
